That Voice

It shrills and wines

So LOUD!

Been there, done that,

Authority on all

In an overly confident volume

Enough! Sound all around

Directed towards me

But angled for others

Naming of names

Places been and seen

Hoping for envy

Inspirational?  By no means!

Always through rose glasses

No clouds in my skies

No bugs in my garden

Perfection all around

But dumbfounding and bothered

Unbelievable and unreal

That voice bellows tales

Of hidden weaknesses and frails

Insecure and lacking demur

Noise, loud, pressing a nerve

Mothers and sons, the true

Keepers of the beasts

Here it comes once again

Protect your air space

Lock down the hatches

Prepare for the wind

She’s spreading the word

Winding up the pitch

Take cover or you’ll get bewitched
