“Hello, is this Suzanne Reisler Litwin?”

“Yes”, I answered with a questionable tone.

“This is Laura MacEwen the Junior Program officer for The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers representing the Governor General of Canada, the Right Honourable Mary Simon.”

At this point I was no longer interested in eating breakfast. I got off my chair and sat on the floor, just in case I might faint.
