“Are you retired?” asks an old friend.

“What are you talking about? I replied.

“Like are you still teaching and writing? How many years have you been doing that? He asks.

“Let me see, I started teaching when I was 23, so that means I’ve been teaching for…” I suddenly pause.

What the, I can’t believe my answer. Is it possible I’ve been teaching for, gulp, 40 years!
